Worst Advice Ever

I take all kinds of advice from all kinds of people. Strangers (sometimes), friends, teachers, family. But then there are people that...kind of give advice that will turn you the wrong direction.
Take my friend, Roger, for example. He was my best guy friend. He loved to hang out with me and he loved to talk to me about his day and everything. Eventually, I started telling him about my day as well and we connected. We were like the best of best friends. Anyways, one day I told him that I had a crush on one of my friends. He started freaking out and said, "Oh my god! Oh my god! I'm gonna tell them! No, wait. Never mind, I want to hear the drama first." So I told him everything about my crush. Then I asked him for advice. He wanted me to just straight up tell my crush that I liked them. Here's a summary of his whole speech, "Its better doing something and regretting it than doing nothing when you could've done something and then regretting that." So I decided, the next day, to go up to my crush and tell them about how I like them. They ended up saying that they didn't like me that way and that they'd rather have us stay as friends. Of course, I was heartbroken by that. So I told Roger about it and he advised me to try to talk to them again. So the next day, I did. And again, we talked for hours about what we liked about eachother but then at the end my crush decided it wouldn't work out between us. That us dating wouldn't be such a good idea. I became more heartbroken but decided to stay positive about it. After I told Roger about that one he advised to just move on. And I was already planning to do that so I did. BUT then, a month or so later my crush stated that they liked me back, but I had already moved on. I didn't know how to reply so I said I'll think about it. I asked Roger to help me with it and he said I should go for it. So I did. That took the wrong turn as usual. It was kind of awkward for us when we dated so we decided that we were better off as friends. From that point on, I never took advice from Roger again and so far, it's been great.

Greatest Show EVER!!

Well...to me it's the greatest show ever.

Steven Universe is a show in which a boy named Steven Universe goes on adventures with his guardians and protectors of Beach City (Where he lives) Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl. They call themselves The Crystal Gems. Many of Stevens missions with the gems includes fighting corrupted monsters or they include other magical mysteries. In many of the missions, the gems and Steven learn lessons and/or Steven finds out what types of powers he holds. So far he has found out that he can summon a shield, a bubble that protects him, and he found a sword inside his magical pet pink lion. Yes, you read that right, a pink lion. Steven and the gems were on a mission at the desert one day and a pink lion arrived. Steven befriends the lion and once the gems finish the mission they head home. Steven was sad to leave the lion behind but he did anyways and teleported back home. Once home Steven found out that the lion had followed him. Trouble follows Steven as he wonders why the lion followed him. Then Steven kept lion as a pet. Lion is a good little boy. =)

Beach city is small city with real interesting people. Steven, of course, makes plenty of friends throughout the show and he has also lost some. Let's take Lapis Lazuli, a character who controls water and was trapped in the mirror for over 5,000 years. Steven befriended her through the mirror and eventually released her. This gets the gems mad. Eventually Steven helps Lapis gets homes and after 50 episodes, danger appears nearby and threatens the humanity of Beach City. This all happens in season 1. In season 2 episode 18, Steven finds Peridot. A homeworld gem. She was part of the threat to Beach City along with Jasper and Lapis Lazuli. Lapis, though, didn't really want to hurt Steven and his friends. Peridot and Jasper did. Lapis then traps Jasper in a fusion. They live underwater for quite sometime until Lapis was too weak enough to hold Jasper down with the weight of the Earths ocean. Once Malachite (Jasper and Lapis fusion) was defeated by Alexandrite (A fusion between the Crystal Gems, except Steven), Jasper disappears underground and Lapis is kept with the gems. Peridot, on the other hand, keeps managing to escape the Crystal Gems BUT they find her and the gems poof her and trap her in a bubble. Steven, the nice little cinnamon bun, releases her and says that she knows something the gems don't. Something called "The Cluster". Its a HUGE fusion inside the earth and if it forms, the planet and everyone on it will die. It'll blow up the earth!! You can find out what happens to the gems and what they try to do to stop the Cluster.

[Just to put this out there, there's more homeworld gems like The Rubies, The Diamond Authority, Holly Blue, Blue and Yellow Pearl, and many MANY more. My favorite homeworld gem though is probably Lapis and Skinny Jasper.]

Eventually though, Lapis and Peridot get along (They were ready to kill eachother in the start) And its, so far, going great. Oh, right, Jasper! So she eventually goes on the surface of the earth again and try's to hurt the gems, excluding Lapis. Then in another episode Smokey Quartz defeats Jaspers fusion and you'll know what happens to Jasper once you watch the episode.

I think I've written more than I intended but who's to say that more is bad?
I really love the show and it makes me so happy.
Thanks to SugarWoman (Rebecca Sugar) for creating this beautiful show. 💙💚

(Also, I'm sorry if this kind of spoils the show for you.)

Taking Shelter in Shelter

Shelter, by Harlan Coben, was such a good book. It had such an amazing start to it and it started rising as soon as the book started. The main character, Mickey Bolitar, has been through a lot. His father died right in front of him becuase of a car crash. His mother broke down after the death and became an addict to drugs. She was then put into a rehabilitation center.
Mickey is now in high school at this point of his life and he has a girlfriend named Ashley Kent. Ashley suddenly disappears and Mickey is worried for her safety and why she left with no warning. Mickey then makes friends with 2 other people by the name of Ema and Spoon. They both help him in finding out who Ashley really is and why she's missing. In the beginning Mickey walks past a house in which Bat Lady, a myth of an old lady who eats children, lives in. When he passes by, the lady emerges from the house and states that Mickeys father isn't dead. Now this leaves Mickey with many, many questions. Turns out Mickeys father and Ashley are NOT who he thinks they are.

Meeting a Famous Person!! 😱

Ha! Clickbait titles. Works every time.
***
If I ever had a chance to meet a famous person it would be Bob Ross. I'm in LOVE with art and Bob Ross is truly an amazing artist. He inspires me so much. I watch his videos on Netflix, and although I don't have paint, I try to follow his steps. He's so calm and collective and his interaction with the watchers is on the spot. He also has many pets such as squirrels and owls and stuff that come onscreen. He has a pet that he loves so much named Peapod and it's so adorable. Also usually when I make a mistake in my artwork, I whine about it. Who doesn't do that? Yup, you guessed it, Bob Ross! He fixes his mistake to make it look like it was on purpose. It's so amazing! If we met in real life I would ask him if we could paint together. It'd be an amazing experience, especially with a person like Bob Ross. Another thing I would want to ask him to do is to travel the world with me. I love traveling, but I don't do it a lot. I just want to see how his paintings would look like in real life. The final thing I would ask him to do is if we could hang out with his pets. I would love to see Peapod run around and be a cutie. I would also LOVE to see Peapod being fed. Now that I think about it, ever since Peapod came onscreen I've been dying to get one alike to it. Maybe I should. Anyways, Bob Ross has a big, tall cage for Peapod and called it Squirrel Hilton. I want one exactly like it. It's super adorable how Bob made a cage for his squirrel and named it after the Hilton Hotel. Bob Ross is so innocent and pure.
My favorite quote from him is, "We don't make mistakes, we have happy accidents." This is my favorite quote because this makes me see that Bob Ross is not afraid of anything. He knows he's weird and he accepts that. Also, if he makes a mistake, he accepts it and moves on. He also feels like we don't make mistakes. Mistakes are accidents. We didn't mean for them to happen. And like he said, our mistakes are just "happy accidents."

Super Cereal Bowl Commercial

What I think was the most interesting Super Bowl Commercial was the "Born the Hard Way - Budweiser" Commercial. Yes, it is a beer commercial and whatnot, but it was inspiring in many ways. If you actually analyzed what the video was portraying you would actually see that it states a satisfyingly, inspirational theme. As you might know, Budweiser is the 3rd best selling beer. That means that many people in America like the way Budweiser tastes and buys it. Wouldn't the company earn a lot of money because of this?
Now imagine your product being the 3rd best selling item in America. It may not be the best, but at least you made it close to the top. You would most likely call that a success, right? What I'm trying to prove is the fact that they were successful because they fought through their troubles in order to achieve their dream. In this commercial they showed a man going through his consequences when he was Immigrating. He was being pushed away by others that didn't want him, he had to travel across seas and lands for hours on end, he had to live through all these troubles and he was still waiting for his dream. Those problems didn't stop him though. He kept fighting, no matter the troubles he went through, he still kept fighting for his dream. And it strikes me as phenomenal becuase I've seen many people give up the minute things go hard for them. Meanwhile, this man fought through his troubles because he believed in himself. He believed in his future. He believed his dream would come true. And they did because he went searching for answers during his immigration life. Also, in the end of the commercial it states, "When nothing stops your dream, this is the beer we drink." He didn't let anything stop him from reaching his dream, and now Budweiser is 3rd best selling beer in the US. Amazing, isn't it? What your dreams can possibly do for the world? It's inspiring. This is why I thought the most interesting Super Bowl Commercial was the "Born the Hard Way - Budweiser" commercial. It's inspirational, satisfying, and motivational. It's encouraging others to not give up on their dreams no matter what is in their way.

Don't give up on YOUR dream. 💙🖤

Hammy Man

Alexander Hamilton, one of the great founding fathers of the US, is who I'm reading.
If you know already, there's a musical of Alexander Hamilton and his life story. And if you don't know, it's about one of the founding fathers of the United States, Alexander Hamilton. The musical retells his story but in the form of music. There are 45 parts and 2 acts. It goes through and tells what he's done and such. (It's kind of addicting in my view)
When I read the book, it kept reminding me of the musical. I understood almost everything. Then I thought that if I didn't hear the musical before I probably wouldn't have understood as much. Anyways when I read it, there were things that I didn't even know about Alex! Like for example, I knew he had 7 children and I know that one was named Philip and another was named Alexander Jr (I think). But what I didn't know was that they had a daughter named Angelica. They named their child after Eliza's (Hamiltons wife) sister! That's so adorable!
Honestly it's kind of sad to think about what Hamilton had gone through. His mom died, his dad left him, and his cousin committed suicide. Then after a while, people in his life died one by one. It's surprising to see what his life was like. One of the founding fathers that changed the world, had gone through something so tough. Yet he lived through it.
Also he was pretty young when he first had things like this going on. Anyways, I apologize for telling his whole life story again in one Blog but he's just so interesting.

(By the way, Marquis de LaFayette is amazing as well.)

If you want to hear the musical for yourself (I would recommend it) then here's the link to it: Alexander Hamilton
