Mystery Gift

The best gift I've ever gotten was probably a visit to my grandparents. I haven't seen them in such a long time and I wanted to see them badly over the holidays and so I asked my parents if they could let us visit them. I thought they lied becuase during Christmas (a couple of years ago) we didn't go anywhere. We just stayed home and opened our presents.*
Anyways, a few days later my parents asked all of us to get ready and get in the car. We were all confused at first but we eventually obliged. We were driving down a familiar place when it suddenly hit me. This was the highway to my grandparents house. I was the first to realize and jump up and down. Then my brother joined it. After our celebration, my sister woke up and realized it too. She was excited but she contained herself, unlike me. We arrived and I was the first to get out. I ran up the staris (there was a lot so by the time I got up to where they were at I had a hard time breathing.) I looked around to see if they were there. My grandpa was there but my grandma wasn't. I figured she was grocery shopping. I hugged my grandpa and he was happy to see me. My parents came up and I asked where my siblings were and they said that they were helping my grandma with the grocery bags. I was excited to hear that she was coming here. I wanted to go down and help but by the time I left the room we were currently at, my siblings and grandma were already here. I ran up and hugged her. We were all happy to be with each other. We played some games. It turned dark quickly and we were really tired. So we went home. I never forgotten that day. It was the best gift I've ever received.💙

*Side note: I got a character from The Lion King. It was a big plush of it and I was really happy about it. It was big and kind of poofy.

Being a Clod

"He who asks a question is a fool for five minutes; he who does not ask a question remains a fool forever."

This proverb is one of my favorite proverbs of all times. If you don't understand it, I'll break it down for you. "He who asks a question..." so those who ask a "stupid" question "is a fool for five minutes;" is just a fool for that current amount of time. "he who does not ask a question..." so those who don't ask the question "remains a fool forever." So they stay a fool for a long time because they never asked that question. This basically states that if you don't ask questions, whether it's stupid or not, you're never going to get the answer. You're going to stay clueless forever and ponder on the thought/question for a long time. And yea, if you ask the question, again, whether it's stupid or not, you're going to be a "fool" just for a while. Then people will forget about it. And you know the answer now. Even if it was a stupid question, you had an answer to it. (Important)
This proverb helped me in so many ways. Whenever I don't ask a question because I feel like it's a stupid question, I think of this proverb and think "Well, even if it is a stupid question, you're never gonna know the answer if you don't ask." And I finally push myself to ask it. It's quite surprising to me to think that, if I didn't ask the questions I wouldn't have known the things I know today.
This is why this is one of my favorite proverbs.
